Delete your GymCraft account
This page explains how to request deletion of your GymCraft account and all data associated with it. It applies to both the GymCraft mobile app (iOS and Android) and any data we hold from the gymcraft.co marketing site.
How to request deletion
To delete your GymCraft account, send an email to privacy@gymcraft.co with the following:
- Subject line: Account deletion request
- The email address you used to sign in to GymCraft, or your in-app Gym Name if you used the app anonymously
- A brief statement confirming that you are requesting deletion of your account and all associated data
That's all we need. We'll handle the rest.
We respond to deletion requests within 7 days, usually much sooner. We may ask you to verify the request — for example, by replying from the email address on the account — before we act on it, to protect you from someone else requesting deletion of your data.
If you used GymCraft anonymously and don't remember your Gym Name, we may not be able to locate your account. Anonymous accounts that go unused are automatically deleted after a period of inactivity regardless of any request.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your gym contents — every item, character, plaque, wall colour, and floor tile you've unlocked, and how you've placed them
- Your workout history — all sessions, sets, durations, exercises, weights, reps, and modes you've logged
- Your statistics and progress — daily, monthly, and lifetime totals, your current and best streaks, and any shields you've earned
- Your currency balances — your Coins and, if you were a subscriber, your Crystals
- Your gym name and any other in-app content you've created
- Your authentication record — your email address (if you used email or Google sign-in) and your internal user ID
- Your push notification tokens, so we can no longer send notifications to your device
- Your subscription record on our side, by request to RevenueCat (our subscription provider)
What is kept, and for how long
A small amount of information may be retained briefly after account deletion:
- Server logs containing your internal user ID are retained for up to 30 days as part of our standard logging retention, after which they are automatically deleted. These logs exist for security, debugging, and abuse prevention; they are not used for any other purpose.
- Anonymised analytics data about app usage (which screens were visited, where users dropped off in flows) does not contain personally identifying information once your account is deleted and is retained for product analytics purposes.
We do not retain your gym, workouts, statistics, gym name, email address, or any other personal content after deletion.
What happens to an active subscription
If you delete your account while you still have an active GymCraft Premium subscription:
- We immediately remove your subscription record on our side via RevenueCat.
- Your subscription continues at the platform level — through your Apple ID or your Google Play account — until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, unless you cancel it separately.
- To cancel the subscription itself and stop future renewals, manage it in your Apple ID subscription settings (iOS) or your Google Play subscription settings (Android). Requesting deletion of your GymCraft account does not automatically cancel the platform-level subscription.
If you want a refund for a subscription, contact Apple or Google directly — refund decisions are made by them per their respective policies, not by GymCraft.
Verification
To protect you, we may verify that a deletion request genuinely comes from the account holder before we act on it. Verification usually means replying from the email address on the account or confirming a detail only the account holder would know. We only do this when we cannot reasonably confirm identity from the request itself.
